Bernadette Carty

Bernadette (she/her) is an intimacy coordinator with a strong foundation in performance, safeguarding, and consent-based practice. With extensive experience across film and television, supporting both cast and background performers, Bernadette brings a deep understanding of on-set dynamics, duty of care, and the importance of creating emotionally and physically safe working environments.

Drawing on her background as both an actor and a chaperone for minors, she approaches storytelling from multiple perspectives. This allows her to collaborate effectively with directors, producers and performers to facilitate authentic, respectful, and well-structured intimate scenes that serve the narrative while prioritising performer wellbeing.

Bernadette also holds a certificate in sex therapy and is a certified Conscious Kink Educator. Her work is grounded in trauma-informed practice, clear communication, and consent-forward frameworks. Known for her calm, compassionate, and highly professional approach, she fosters trust and clarity for performers of all ages and experience levels. She is deeply committed to advocacy, safeguarding and the creation of inclusive spaces where boundaries are respected and creativity can thrive safely. She is based in Dublin, Ireland.
