Stereotypes deeply affect people with disabilities working on set and there are many nuances to be aware of when working with creatives with disabilities. In this workshop we will go through understanding terms and language around disabilities, explore historical representation and context of the disabled community, and discuss how you can act as an advocate on set and beyond for folks with disabilities.

Please note that purchasing a ticket will give you access to the recording of a live event that occurred on December 2, 2023. This class serves as an introductory program to the topic of intimacy and disability and is open to all filmmakers.
In this 4 hour workshop we will cover the fundamental difference between the key tantric paths and styles as well as debunk some myths, misconceptions, and common misunderstandings surrounding it. This workshop will prepare you to work on scenes involving tantra in an informed manner.
In this class you will learn the ins and outs of working with young performers under the age of 18 in a wide variety of types of scenes, ranging from first kisses to familial intimacy.
IPA’s Introduction to BDSM and Kink for IC’s class will acquaint students with a foundational understanding of kink, kinky identities, and kinky activities and teach them how to discuss and work with this type of material in a way that is affirming and non-shaming of those involved.
IPA is excited to host a panel discussion exploring the experiences of disabled industry storytellers, both in front of and behind the camera.
This class will help you to deepen your knowledge and skills around working with embodied consent and assisting actors in reaching clarity around their boundaries.
This specialized workshop invites intimacy coordinators to delve deeper into their practice, equipping them with the tools and confidence to partner effectively with disabled performers in intimate scenes.
IPA’s Intimacy and Comedy Workshop will explore over the course of a two hour lecture-style class the topic of how we can best serve scenes of intimacy that involve comedic elements.
This workshop, led by autistic intimacy coordinator Sawyer VanVactor-Lee, dives deep into the lived experiences of autistic individuals and the implications for portraying intimacy on screen.
