Christopher Marino

Christopher (he/him) is a certified Intimacy Coordinator through the Intimacy Professionals Association (IPA) and holds a Mental Health First Aid certificate for the entertainment industry. On set, he serves as an intimacy coordinator, acting coach, and advisor.

His experience spans independent film, horror, period drama, and experimental work. Christopher collaborates with directors, actors, and production teams to stage intimacy, manage staged violence, and coordinate blood effects with clear protocols and precise execution. He draws on training and experience in breathwork for performers and extensive work in Butoh dance choreography to help actors stay grounded, present, and emotionally available.

As an acting coach, his clients have gone on to high-profile careers across film, television, and streaming platforms. His practice is collaborative and trauma-informed, centering performer agency, open communication, and safe boundaries so every beat serves the story and protects the people making it.

Christopher has also been a successful producer of live performance for over twenty years. He is an Associate Professor of Theatre at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and trained in both U.S. and U.K. conservatories, enabling him to work effectively with international casts. His film work includes independent features, shorts, and festival-selected projects.
