Evie Poaros

Evie (she/her) is a dancer, choreographer, movement practitioner, and intimacy professional based in Germany with over a decade of international experience working in opera, theatre and dance.

She started her dance education in London, before moving to Germany to continue her training. She trained in Mannheim and Frankfurt, where she graduated with a BA degree in Classical and Contemporary Dance from the HfMDK Frankfurt and completed an internship with The Forsythe Company. Evie has an MSc in Psychology, is a certified intimacy choreographer through Intimacy Professionals Association and has completed additional training with Theatrical Intimacy Education.

Her professional engagements have led her to work in theatres across Europe including the Vienna State Opera, the Paris National Opera, the Royal Opera House in London, the Latvian National Opera, Teatro San Carlo in Naples and festivals including the Tiroler Festspiele Erl, Festival Aix-en-Provence and Glyndebourne. Within Germany she has worked at numerous theatres including Komische Oper Berlin, Frankfurt Opera, Theater Erfurt, Wuppertal Opera and Stadttheater Bremerhaven, where she recently worked as movement and intimacy coordinator.

Evie is passionate about integrating intimacy work into opera and theatre to help navigate sensitive themes and foster consent-forward environments. Her experience both on and off stage supports and informs her intimacy work.
