Lena Steinhuber

Lena (they/them) is a certified intimacy choreographer and a trained actor with a strong background in movement and dance. Based in Hannover, Germany and Salzburg, Austria, Lena brings a unique mix of perspectives to their work.

As an Intimacy Choreographer, Lena is eager about integrating their expertise into the realms of circus, physical theater, devised theater, and dance. They help productions establish safer and consent-forward work environments that prioritize care and constructive communication. Using a creative and compassionate approach, Lena advocates for the needs of performers while also supporting the director's artistic vision, ensuring that both are met through creative solutions.

With eight years of professional experience in theater and live performance, Lena has assumed numerous responsibilities - performer, choreographer, producer, and educator - for both national and international productions. In 2023, they expanded their repertoire to include contemporary circus, further enriching their artistic practice.

Lena identifies as queer and transgender and is always looking forward to supporting projects that center and cherish queer communities.
