Mica Haubrich
Mica (they/them) is a queer, nonbinary intimacy choreographer (IC), director, and performance artist based in Gießen and Frankfurt, Germany. With over 15 years of experience in interdisciplinary live performance and a background across departments such as acting, directing, dancing, dramaturgy, rigging, and wardrobe, Mica brings a collaborative and holistic perspective to their work.
Certified as an IC for live performance through IPA and trained for film with Safe Sets and PIP, Mica works across both film and theatre, combining diverse methodologies to meet the unique needs of each project. They hold degrees in Media Communication and Applied Theatre Studies and are currently pursuing an MA at the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies in Gießen. Their work is informed by intersectional, antiracist, anti-ableist and trauma-aware practices, with a focus on centering queer and non-normative narratives with sensitivity, depth, and care.
Known for their calm presence and adaptability, Mica cultivates supportive and respectful environments that prioritize emotional well-being while facilitating intimate scenes that resonate deeply and authentically. Fluent in English and German, with conversational Spanish (B1) and ongoing studies in Swedish and German Sign Language (DGS), they are happy to collaborate throughout Germany as well as internationally.
