Pernille Olesen

Pernille (she/her) is a certified intimacy choreographer who holds an MA in Dramaturgy from Aarhus Univeristy and has professional working experience with opera, burlesque, contemporary dance and theatre. Pernille is based in Denmark and has 10 years of experience working in European contexts.

Pernille’s work as an intimacy choreographer is rooted in wanting solid working conditions and establishing environments that promote trust. She calls on her decades of experience within performing arts at every level to create such an environment. Pernille is especially interested in assisting institutions rethinking current processes as well as bringing her knowledge to productions and performers on the floor. With experience from both producing, stage managing, and as a dramaturg, Pernille is well-accustomed to supporting creatives with their artistic work and practical/emotional needs, blending them together smoothly and efficiently.

With Pernille’s background in a wide variety of live performance genres and formats, she can navigate both different scopes of projects and maturity levels of cast and crew, all with warmth and a passion for a great work environment.
