Shawn Kathryn Kane

Shawn Kathryn Kane ("SKK", she/her) is a classically trained actor and writer (BFA, NYU Tisch), bringing over a decade of experience in performance and choreography to her work supporting safe, creative, and consent-focused intimate scenes. With a deep passion for authentic storytelling on screen, SKK utilizes her extensive background as an actor to inform her work in intimacy coordination. Having experienced firsthand the challenges that come with performing intimate scenes, she understands that the most compelling and powerful performances arise when actors feel both confident and safe.

SKK has collaborated across film and television projects with award-winning directors and actors (see credits on IMDB), drawing on her training in movement coaching and her commitment to unfettered communication and trauma-informed practices. Certified both as an intimacy coordinator and in Mental Health First Aid, she is dedicated to fostering respectful, authentic collaboration on set in alignment with SAG-AFTRA and Intimacy Directors International standards.
